Dear ISfTE Members:
In accordance with the Constitution of ISfTE, the Secretary-General has struck a committee for the purpose of overseeing the process to elect ISfTE Members-at-Large. We require four individuals to serve as Members-at-Large for a 3-year term (2020-2023).
Current members of ISfTE are invited to nominate colleagues or themselves for the position of Member-at-Large. The Election committee and the current Executive board want to encourage all ISfTE members to consider running for a position, particularly those members located in countries not currently represented on the board.
Members-at-large play an important role in the operation of our Society. They serve in an advisory capacity to the Secretary-General and are voting members of the ISfTE Executive Board. They may also serve as members of sub-committees that deal with issues identified by the Executive Board.
Members-at-Large normally attend the annual ISfTE
Seminar and the Executive Board meeting, which occurs the day prior to the
opening of the annual Seminar (in Bhutan, 2020). Individuals elected will officially begin their term at the
conclusion of the 2020 Seminar.
Candidates must provide a statement (maximum 350 words) detailing their
association with ISfTE and what they hope to contribute to the society in the
position of Member-at-Large. Statements will be posted on the ISfTE website. Nomination
information and personal statements are due by Thursday, March
5, 2020. Elections will take
place shortly thereafter.
Please send nominations to Karen Bjerg Petersen, Chair of the Election committee at kp@edu.au.dk.
Election Committee: Karen Bjerg Petersen, Ingebjørg Aarek and Anne Merete Selvik
