JISTE Vol. 29 No. 2 (2022) is out!!

JISTE journal published a special issue on global perspectives on Teacher Education, called Special Issue: Global Perspectives on Teacher Education – Innovations, Challenges, and Contradictions in April 2026.

This special issue brings together fourteen articles examining teacher education across diverse global contexts, including Australia, Bhutan, Canada, Cyprus, Ghana, Japan, Mexico, Nigeria, Norway, Serbia, and the United States. The collection explores how teacher education systems are shaped by local histories, policies, and priorities, while addressing shared challenges such as equity, professional preparation, and educational change. Together, the articles offer a comparative and contextually grounded understanding of the complexities, innovations, and tensions shaping teacher education worldwide.
